Have spent this morning compiling these draft A3 versions of student speak generic PLTS posters.  Wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

Thanks in advance :0)

Yes, these are fantastic. I have some PLTs posters in my class, but they are prolific. This is something rather useful. I'll be using them with credit to you - thank you!

Hi, great resource, do you mind if I use them in my class (secondary) as a display resource? I realise it's cheeky

@ Wilmington Academy Humanities Blog please do if they are useful. I would be grateful that you pass on where they came from and not remove credits from the images. I would also value any comments on how they work out, ae beenused or could be improved. So where in the world are you?

These look fabulous - I'd definitely be interested in using them in my classroom (if that's okay, credit to remain all yours). Just a minor quibble, though - you seem to have made the "I Am A" bold on 2 out of the 6 posters... was that deliberate?

Mr Harcombe. These were initial drafts, and have since been edited to fix this. Will upload the new versions soon. Just pondering whether or not these should be in pdf format or as images any thoughts?

Mr Harcombe said...

Personally, fwiw, I'd be tempted to pop them into PDFs. Purely as when, in the past, I've tried to hand around image files, others (eg non-technical admin staff) have struggled figure out how best to print them. But I'm no great expert on such matters - what are the implications for resolution/quality/file size?

Two Whizzy said...

PDF resolution is great, just had our school sets printed and laminated. The originals were DTPed, so file size even at A3 quite small. Currently also preparing to print in postcard size for students to use during Self and Peer assessment tasks.

Sounds ideal, then :)

Think these are great and have made a reference to them in m own blog (http://bit.ly/KkoaPV) directing people to your site and asking them to tell you how they use them if they download them.

These are amazing! Thanks for these!

Hi, These look fantastic and I would really like to "borrow" them for my room!
If I save as an bmp file though they are really small and go fuzzy when enlarged - your help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi thanks for your comments, glad they are useful, and please do feel free to download and use them. If instead of right clicking and saving the images directly from the page, you click on each one individually they will open separately in their original format which is larger. These should then be suitable for use on posters etc. Hope this is useful.

These are great, much more 'kid speak' than anything else I have seen.

I have made some videos aimed at kids that try and achieve the same purpose:

Feel free to use them.

Wow, these are fab, please can I use them in my classroom - I'm thinking about using them as prompts for DIRT time (either through displaying or as fan cards for each child).
The language will really help students understand what the PLTS are! (And have helped me too!)

Hi Karen, Thanks for very positive feedback. Please do feel free to use these, would appreciate feedback on how finally use them and any changes you may make.

Thank you for these great resources. I would like to ask your permission to use them in a Breakout Game (http://breakoutedu.com) that I am creating to use with teachers in my district (and share with other teachers interested in using the game) about positive personal and cultural competencies. I would, of course, credit you and link to this post on your blog.

Thank you!

These are lovely. I too would like to use them in a gamified activity linking to ways my students can develop the competencies mentioned such as fostering reflective learning.I will gladly share once completed.
